T5 question

Will using 2 24watt t5 in series work on ballast for 54w?

Can't you hook up two lamps on the ballast? It should have three wires for that.

It is for 2 x 54w, I am trying to fake one side to use 2x 24w. I assume there would be problem with starting lamps if nothing else.

I would assume your correct, I haven't tried that but I think as long as you don't exceed 8ft total bulb length I think your ok. If you do this please post your results!
