Hey all,
I will be moving my 55 out of my ex GF'S house this weekend.
What is the best way to do the move? I'll be getting rid of the sand, it's way too fine (oolite, it's like powder) and replacing it with Fiji Pink.
Thanks

That part I have figured out. I want to totally clean the tank spotless as well, and probably at least 50% new water.

I'd be a little leary of making the tank too clean. May cause a mini cycle. Keep 50 percent of the water and scrape the walls down and I'd call it good

There won't be any problem as long as you keep your live rock wet.
I've done more than 50% new water on tank swaps with completely new tanks, and never had a problem.
Just acclimate fish and corals to the new water.

Is anyone using anything to protect hardwood floors from spillage? If so, what?
I'm moving my 55 to my new place Sunday and want to get everything ready to go.
Thanks
