Can you repair acrilic? the bottom of my sump has a small crack in it and im hopeing to get it fixed

Maybe patch it but not actually glue the crack closed.

what do you mean? just lay a whole nother piece down over it and silicone it in?

Lay a piece over the crack and solvent weld it in.

Weldon 40 would work. Silicone doesn't stick to acrylic.

Kel tech in tacoma will sell you weldon 40, be carefull when using it, the vapors can kill you. Use it outdoors....

the whole bottom is cracked not sure if it's patchable.
the crack goes from the knife to the sharpy on the bottom

If it were me I would get a piece of acrylic cut the same size as the bottom then use weldon to glue a whole new bottom over the old.

A question for the acrylic experts out there. When laminating two sheets of acrylic together is better to use the two part weldon 40 over the 3-4 or 16? I've only used weldon 3 and 16 for my acrylic projects and don't know much about the pros\cons of weldon 40.

with weldon 40 and scrap acrylic it can be patched, trust me. may not be too pretty but functional...

patch it from underneath? or from the inside? and could i just use a think like 1/4" acrylic? mosreless just put a whole new bottom on without taking the old off.

that would work.

it looks like it spans baffles so that you wouldnt be able to patch it from the inside. I suggest a welding a new bottom over the old. I also wouldn't think you need to go 1'4" for the repair, 3/16 or less should work but again I defer to the experts.
