I have read and found many differeing opinions on what is the optimal level for temp and salinity. I have a tank with live rock, fish and invertrebrates and don't plan on having corals. So, what is the optimal levels for temp and salinity. Also, what is the best way to increase your salinity if you are too low????

Thanks

Both those factors have a lot to do with your type of tank (ie what you are keeping), but IMO, I've found that generally reef tanks belong in the 80 degree range and 1.025-1.026 SG (corrected for temp of course) range. FO tanks should be a bit lower on both, IMO.

To raise salinity, the best method I have found is to mix up a higher gravity solution and drip it into the tank slowly as makeup water. Generally, try not to exceede .001 increase in SG per day...
