Test Kits

What brand of test kits does everyone use? Any preference? I am looking for the most reliable test kits. Thanks!

Elos or Salifert are about the most accurate you can get. They're individual tests and rather spendy, but well worth it.

I figured salifert would be up there. They are pretty spendy too! I have been using API for a while and I have 2 sets of nitrate testing solutions. One test with 1 set showed 0ppm and the otehr set showed 20ppm....time to upgrade

I buy my Salifert kits from OceansAquariums, where they're a lot cheaper than anywhere else I've found.

Could be one is outdated maybe?
I like the API for a cheap test.

I've found the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals nitrate test agrees with Salifert and Elos test results. I use Elos for dKH now since it's a very simple test and cheaper than Salifert's which had reliability issues recently. My Salifert nitrate kit ran out recently and I got an Elos one to replace it. I like it ok so far, about the same amount of work and accuracy as the Salifert one.
