got the newest line of nano filtration from tunze today. its the reef pack 250 which is the newest skimmer comline DOC skimmer 9004 and the comline filter 3162

will take pics in a min. this thing looks sweet. been waiting for 4 mos to be released in the usa. now for pics

yep skimmy thats the one u told me to buy a long time ago, i purchased it that day. lol
 
ok here is the before and after pics. this setup will be used on my 20g build in the sump when i start that build up in a couple mos when funding is available.

i think i like it, nothing hanging off the back and the top is all open. skimmer is already producing dark skimate.
only time will tell i put a bag of carbon in the filter. so basically a carbon reactor. no floss or sponges(nitrate factory's).
 
Sponges and floss only become nitrate factories when they are not cared for properly. Otherwise great for catching those larger particles that would otherwise clog up our pumps.
I have the same impeller on my Hydor and wish there was some way to hook up some floss or a sponge. Thing is forever getting clogged up and slowing down bubble production.
