i was thinking about adding 1 or 2 needle wheels to the box to feed the main chamber.has anyone done this?is this a goo idea?

any and all input please. TIA Chris

Does that thing have beckett's on it? It dosn't really look like it, and if not that would be the mod I would go for first.

no it dosent. and ive thought about doing that but havent been able to get any info on doing it.would i have to shorten the down tubes?are there any threads on changing to beckett?

Well it looks like it has some flanges at the top of the tubes. I would think that if you are pretty handy you could make a matching flange for the bottom of your beckett injector. Then all you need is a couple becketts and some 2.5" acrylic tube, and to make the top flange. If you don't want to buy any tube you could just use a couple inches of the exhising tubing you have there. I don't think that I have ever seen a thread here about modding to beckett, but I could help you out. I can draw up some 3d diagrams for you to look at, and give you a parts list. Do you have a router table?

there a website for that under etts mods some where i have seen it just cant find it

i dont have a router table but i could make one.im a contractor and have just about everything else but that(dont really have a need untill now).if you wanted to make some 3d stuff that would be great

I think that you could do it a lot better then that. I will draw up something for you tonight. There are always beckets on ebay too.

Ok Well here you go Chris n Barb. You need to get your self some 3/8" acrylic to make you flanges and a couple standard fittings from you home center. I use a bushing at the bottom of the housing that is 1" outside an 3/4" inside. This fitting slips thru the bottom of the bottom doughnut . Next up is a piece of 2.5" acrylic tube. On top of the tube you put a flange Small flange like the one in the pic. The mating flange will have a hole cut into it to accept the next pvc fitting, it is 1" thread on the top and 3/4 slip inside. You will have to modify this fitting some w/ a dremel and drum sander to open it up a little so it will slide over the top of the beckett. Drill a 3/8" hole into the side of the acrylic tube and tap it w/ 1/4" NPT pipe thread tap and screw in a 1/4" Jonh Guest ball valve. On the top of the unit you will screw a 1" 90 barb adapter. After that glue the beckett housing onto your exhisting tube and you will be ready to go.

If you don't know how to make flanges and whatnot on your router table, read thru the skimmer workshop thread by DonW, he covers it thouroughly.
