Here are some photos of my new closed loop setup again. This is the 3rd time I'm taking a stab at it and I think I got right this time. I added another Quiet One 6000 external pump to my closed loop which gives me 1506 gph per pump and I am running 2 of them...One on either side of the tank. So as it stands, I have the 3012 gph coming from my closed loop (minus head loss and frictional loss) and 950 gph coming from my return (minus head loss and frictional loss) all on a 2 ft long tank! Here are some photos...

If you look at the right side pump, I had to add a few 90's to make it work without re-doing everything. If I were to do it sort of like the other side, I would have had to change the bulkheads because they are "slip" on the inside and it wouldn't leave me enough space to glue new fittings on it had I cut them off and I don't have any more. I can't tell any difference between the sides though which is good. Even from the pics you can tell the flow is similar.

This photo was taken with Y's on the top and the bottom. Since then, I took the Y off of the bottom outputs and I am only running a single lockline output on the bottom of either side and I left the top nozzels as you see it in the pics. The pressure is not bad at all...

If you look to the back of this picture and up to the top, you can see where the 2 external pumps sit on the shelf

And here's a photo of how it looks in place from the right side. I am making a panel that will block this side so you can't see them and also, turn that valve around on that right pump(LOL) I'll get a full tank shot after the water clears up. I lost some rock to lobophora that was growing on a few rocks which I made quick work of with a hammer and chisle. Hopefully I got it all...

Thanks man! I had a few dead spots  and wanted that Maxijet I had sitting in there out so I beefed up the closed loop some:)

very cool man .. you sure do have a lot of 90's

bet you'd add a lot of flow without those

Thanks Adam! About the 90's, yeah I agree, but I have to use them so I don't lose my whole living room with the tank sticking out 18ft into the middle of the room:p It's flowing really good as it is though and I don't think I'll need to do anything more in there with flow as it is.....I don't think:shock:

LOL
Man I want you to build me a ship in a bottle. LOL
Good job Krish.

LOL...No problem man. I'll get started!:D

i think you should add another pump

Krish I am impressed. Nice work. Good to see you found something to do since you lost your job at the PP.:p

Thanks and you wish I worked there!!!!!(LOL) I just toof 3 pics of the tank with the water still clody but I will see how them came out and if they are good, I'll post them in a sec:)

Nice work..

3000gph of flow on a 38g tank.

Krish believes what he has in his tank should be blown around or firmly fastened with epoxy. Why have swimming fish? You can see them better with them plastered up to the side of the tank. Great for taking pictures. LOL :)

ROFL! Thanks James! The fish love it! ;)

Don't forget the mag950 for the return:p

i think you should add another pump

That's the best thing I've heard all day Adam!:D

Tank isn't fully cleared yet, but what the heck! Here are a few pics to see how it is setup. Not sure if the nozzles will stay the same, but I'll figure it out when I feed my fish tomorrow:)

O' silly me.. How do you forget the return pump.. I think you need more flow Krish. The rocks aren't moving around yet..

Okay, Okay Seriously it looks good man..

ROFL! Thanks man! That's already 2 people telling me I need more flow so there may be another thread like this in the near future (LOL) The funny thing is my rocks are always only ever balanced!

I would take out the quietone pumps and replace them with 8,000GPH Amp masters.

LOL...I think the next step would be drilling the bottom of the tank and doing a closed loop under there(LOL) I'll add some pics tomorrow when I figure out the best nozzle placement:)

That is some wicked stuff man, I think I'd leave it alone for now & put some candy inside:D
Go have your baby & raise it & let your tank mature & grow stuff & be Happy:)
