That's the stuff!! I'd shop around for a better price. If you have a large amount of hobbyists in your area, you may be able to find some used. Just let it dry out and then rinse it well before using. You might also be able to find a better price online...even with shipping.

Look for Southdown at Home depot or lowes. It is the same stuff but dry and without a tiny amount of live bacteria. Should sell for $5-8 for 50 pound bag. Rinse it very well

Not tiny bacteria, tiny amount of bacteria.

He already has an established tank with live rock. The "live" sand is mostly a scam.

its all done that was a real pain in the you know what....got the sand laid down now im just waiting for it to clear up a little more before i add the fish and the corals...THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS???????????




Make sure you know what you want in your tank at the start up so you dont have to do what i did

If you have a Magnum canister filter, hook it up with the micron cartridge. It'll have your tank sparkling clear in an hour or 2.

I have the hang on filter with carbon and the skimmer working....Im going to wait till 9:30 just to make sure im soooo paranoid about killing anything ya know...

Ebay, INTERNET stores, fellow reefers. Mine came from Mattseattle. They are pretty cheap and VERY useful for special needs.
