What do you mean? Goby like about the jumping? I think they are more prone to jump(remember this is my logic or whatever) because the stay up in the water column where as gobies stay near the bottom. Well, most gobies stay at the bottom anyways. I've never actually had a fish jump before so yeah...... I wouldn't really know. Maybe someone with more knowledge can chime in.

Well thanks, that got the answer I needed. I saw two these at a LFS and they were a neat looking fish. Its hard to get much info on them. Are they pod eaters?

Have you seen the purple tilefish those are awsome looking fish. I know a guy that has them and they make a little cave in the sand underneath the rocks and that is where they hang out most of the time.

That sounds like a purple firefish which I have. The redline or skunk tilefish as the LFS called it has a body like a goby but with a split tail.
