Time to get out of the reef keeping hobby...

Just looking for your input on how to get rid of all my aquarium hobby.
Should I sell it all together? Piece it out? Or just wait for the garage sale in the fall? Livestock (minimal left at this point) first then equipment? It is such a huge task for me I don't know where to start.

I have a 180 gallon (6ft X 2ft X 2ft) IAP tank with maple stand/canopy, sump, chiller with dual stage controller, ETSS 800 skimmer, Pro-Lime kalk doser etc. It is a complete setup...2 250w MH, 1 400w MH, 4 4ft super actinic (needs new wiring harness), 2 Ro/Di water purifiers (kent marine Maxxima HI-S).

I no longer have the time or the want to keep it going.

Any advice would be great.

Post it as an entire system in the for sale thread and see how it goes. From there, you can decide if you want to part out or not.

That is one option I am considering. I just don't know what is better...we all know that reefkeepers like it there way and want just certain pieces.

I am still using it so I cannot part out anything at this point. I am only seeking out advice right now. I am hoping to make my decision on how to sell it soon and will keep you in mind for the ballast when I do.

i wouls say part it out if you want to. it seems like stuff tends to go real fast when people part out

Yep Dang it's time. I just don't have the want to do it anymore. The passion for me is gone. I am thinking you are right that I will part it out.

I'm thinking about selling all the livestock and rock first then break down the tank and sell the parts...what do you think?

Good ideas...that is pretty much how I have decided with everyones input so far.

I think I am going to part out...I have about 300lbs of live rock...Fiji, Kalini and assorted other unknown kinds. I have some large pieces too what are you looking for?

i can come and take a look next week..do you have corals?i need about 30 or so lbs of cycled live rock as i am gonna move to a 55gal..(i currently have 24 gal..)
