time to replace CF lighting

I have a 55 gallon tank, the ballast needs to be replaced and I thought this would be a good time to switch to Metal Halide, the tank is 48" x 15" the depth is 15" the lights will be 5" above the water, any suggestions as to what type of lighting to use? I have a large aneomia that we have kept happy for 2+ years and a large hammer coral 1+ years old plus a mix of other hard and soft corals. seams to me that there are a lot of choices out for retrofit some are mixed MH + CF, I don't have clue how to proceede.
