Well about 3 weeks back my toadstool shriveled up and I just thought its doing its normal routine then after 2 weeks I thought something was Up and then I noticed that that my rock anemone was toughing one side of the toadstool and now where it was getting stung has turned yellow and almost looks rotting. My questiond will it repair it self? I have put a barrier up to stop the stinging and since then the polyps will extend out but then never open up and then it will shrivel up again and its been doing that for about 3-4 days now. Cut the damage area out or let it be?

how bad is the damage? do you have pics? I would think it could repair itself if its not too bad. It would not hurt it any to cut the damaged area out either.

I will get a pic of it when the lights turn on and it might be hard to get a pic of the damage area when its shriveled but will try

here is the pic. not the best its curled up so its hard to really see the extent of the damage. If cutting is my best option is there anything I need to be carefull of I have never cut or fragged a toadstool leather before. Like stay away from the center or anything like that.

i think he will recover just blow all the dead tissue off every day with a turky baster. ive have had leathers go pale white then shed and look better than ever its almost difficult kill kill these. but if it gets too bad just cut it up into frags of healthy pieces and you will have a bunch in a month or so.

Ok I will wait and do some TLC to it for a few days and see if it heal itself I just wasn't sure that damage tissue would recover or spread Thanks for the help
