I have an old craftsman table saw in the garage that works fine but takes up a lot of space. I would be happy to loan the tool out to someone on the north end that could get some use out of it and might let me stop by for the few cuts I need to make every decade or so.

If it goes to someone who can use it better than I can I will be happy. Should I bring it up to the Jan PSAS event on the island? I will be moving tanks around soon and see several stock tanks on CL in Oak Harbor. If you can hold I can swap.

I also have table saws, and you are welcome to come by my shop to make cuts if yours ends up too far away :)
Anyone is welcome to work on a project in my shop, I have a pretty fair selection of tools, space, and a paint booth.

Cheers,

Say what? Hmmm... Hopefully it's all good things being heard. :D

This is nice!!! In these difficult times, and tight budgets, this shows that RF and the MEMBERS are TRULY looking out for others not themselves. THANKS for showing something thats is seldom seen but i believe in. YOU ROCK!!!!

I'm just glad that Floyd is headed to Spllbnd2's place first. I figure that he will probably hurt himself on the first powertool there and have to go home before he makes a mess in my shop.
Well, truth be told, at the momment I wouldn't be able to tell if someone made a mess in the shop. It is destroyed after last week's activities!

*lol* That was the way my shop was last week. Now it is nice cleaned and vacuumed all the rugs, because this week is finish coating week. :D

Yeah I just emptied my garage out this last weekend. A little more room out there, but not much. Trying to get it ready for this weekend.

I guess adding a 260gal, 280gal, 3 55gal barrels, and 2 100gal stock tanks took a bit more space than I thought it would :)
It looks like a nuke went off in there :)

The table saw is now a trade to contain the liability and it might be going to Tacoma this weekend. I hope it works out.

Todd,

Do you only have wood working tools or do you have cool metal tool as well?

I'm thinking welder, oxy torch, Cam alignment tools, Cummins engine tools, 68RFE transmission stand, and maybe some electrical stuff???

Just so happens I have a very pretty Cummins that's been inserted into a RAM truck that needs a lot of work. I mean LOTS :) My garage is just too tiny, plus the wife would see all the mods being done, and that's never a good thing :spy:

Hi Ryan,

8 year Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep certified tech here. If you need any help with that thing, let me know. I specialize in electrical driveablility among everything else. As for a tranny stand for the 68RFE, don't need it. We would do a teardown and inspects along with full rebuilds on our workbenches.

Also what kind of welding are you needing to be done? I have access to a mig and depending on what you're welding up a mig weld is actually a lot better than an oxy/acet. weld.

Anyways, if you need any Dodge help, I might be able to assist. Have my full set of tools at home for the moment.

Ryan,
Wirefeed welder, torch, lathe, mill, lots 'o auto tools, and most anything electrical... The bad news is that I don't have "bay" space.
I do mods to the cobra in the house garage. The shop has tooling, and plenty of space for projects but it is not setup for auto work.
I plan to extend the internal loading bay back and install a lift, but It will be a year or so. I have to finish the deck/gazebo, build a driveway gate, and create a koi pond this year.

Update:

The table saw is now living in Tacoma so thanks everyone for you input. If you have a decent power miter saw, I will be doing a stand build in in a month and while I love my hand saw box faster would be better.

Big Blue: Sounds like the Cummins engine would make a great closed loop. If you include the 68RFE transmission you can even make a decent wavemaker/speed control pump. Just shift into 1st for the night and 5th for mid day!
