Top fathom 200A

Ok, so I haven't heard of this skimmer before and thought I would ask and see what everyone else's experiences with it are. It claims its rated to 200gallons. That is just a tad small for what i'll be running for a total system *about 240gallons or so*. Whats the performance like of this model? would it be possible to preform some mods and get more performance out of it? by looking at Top fathoms website it appears they claim this skimmer only needs about 400-450 gph of pump to run it. Any input on it would be greatly appreciated.

They are older models that are not as good as newer skimmers, like octopus, SWC, euroreef etc.

It will not skim a 200g tank no matter what mods you do to it. A venturi skimmer driven with 400-450gph pump will not ever be able to handle that kind of load. Pigidypass

that skimmer is history....decent for about mabye a 55g with a 600-700 gph pump on it.
