Well, I have tried to contact Brian @ IAP with no luck, so I need to find a top-line acrylic manufacturer in the Puget Sound Area to help me with a project.

Who is the best acrylic builder in the area?

Hey Kirk, thanks for the quick response. have we met? Your tank looks sweet and apparently you like plumbing projects too. :D

I have not heard of CFI but I will call them.

I don't believe we have, but there is always an open invitation to come see my tank. :)
I can show you my automation to the water changes. I can change 30 gallons in 12 mins and not lift a bucket.

Jason and Eric installed all of the plumbing as well. Overall, I am very very happy with them.

I can vouch for Jason as well... I haven't seen better. He built my 250gal island tank. First class!

Sweet. If I had a 1,000 gallon system I'm sure I would be doing as large of a water change as you are. :)

OK. I'll contact James. Forgot about him! Thanks for the replies guys...I have an issue with my tank but I am not ready to go public with it. When I do, I will post here.

damn i want in on this im tierd of changeing water.... i run a 150 gallon starphire tank... and lots of 5 gal buckets..

Another good choice. I chose Jason as he was local and if anything went wrong I would have local support.

It's very easy to do. Most people accomplish the same thing with a couple of Brute trash cans. And the Quiet One pump is cheap. Plumbing was cheap. In some situations, putting the containers in the garage and having the SW Brute on wheels makes sense. It all depends on how a tank is installed. The pump pulls 80+ gal. out of the sump in no time. And then I gravity feed the new water in. It's nice to use gravity when possible, but it could easily be set up to utilize the pump as well. This can be done in a remote location.

In a case like Vicki's place with tanks all over, it becomes a little more complicated, but certainly doable IMO. A central RO/DI & salt mixing station could be used with a movable fill hose and tank mount. With some careful planning, permanent flexible PVC hoses could be run to all the large tanks.

I am a firm believer in auto-top off, and that is easy to set up with 1/4" lines. They can be run through the ceiling, under the house, through walls, and even behind molding.

Thanks for the reminder. I am looking in multiple directions and primarily at composite materials, but if I swing back toward acrylic, I will get in touch. Not just those that posted here but others have complimented your work with me face-to-face.
