So I have a 4 lights installed on a track lighting rack about 6 inches from my aquariums surface. I have removed the UV filter lens that comes with the lights. My aquarium is now thriving with more/faster growth then when I had 4 flourescent above the tank.

Has anyone done this or know if this lighting will be sutible for my sabae anenome?

Welcome to Reef Frontiers! Seems this is becoming a pattern for our new members. I personally have yet to post on RC. After reading a few posts I lost intrest in that site.

What kind of lights are they?

I put the little halogen track lights on over a fish only. MAN ARE THOSE THINGS HOT AND YELLOW. Tried cutting blue glass filters. They expolded. It was wonderful. Not downing yours. This is just my experince with them. I dont know about a seabea under them.

Welcome to Reef Frontiers!!!

What types of inhabitants are you keeping on your tank? I'm curious if the UV filters were removed, what that will do to the livestock. I'm not sure that the lights would give the anemone what it needs to be healthy. Can you post the type of lights and bulbs they are? (if you know off hand)
