Hey Guys I am currently looking at getting 2 controllable tunze. I have a question after doing a little bit of research I found the Tunze 6095, It is a nano stream but it states that the 6095
is a wide flow, high flow volume compact pump.
It shares the compact body size with the 6055, provides nearly the flow of 6105 but with a much wider flow pattern.
Max flow is approximately 2900gph. For aquariums from 100 to 1000 litres (26 to 264 USgal.). Flow rate: 2,000 to about 9,500 l/h (528 to 2,510 USgal./h),

so my question is would two of these be sufficient for my 180. Or should I spend the extra 200 and get the 6105's. The 6105's are rated
For aquariums from 200 to 2,000 litres (52 to 528 USgal.).
•Flow rate: 3,000 to 13,000 l/h (792 to 3,434 USgal./h).
•Energy consumption: max. 45 W.
•Voltage / frequency: 100 – 240 V / 50 – 60 Hz.
•Cable length: 5 m (196.8 in.).
•Dimensions: diam. 90 mm (3.5 in.), Outlet: diam. 50 mm (1.96 in.).
•Magnet Holder up to a glass thickness of 0.59" (~5/8").

I know the obvious answer is to go with the 6105's but was wondering if anyone has used the 6095's.

I was just wondering if anyone out there has used this, and if so do they think it will be enough for my 180.

So I went ahead and bought 2 of the 6105's. I didn't want to chance spending all of that money and it not be quite what I needed. THank you to al that replied.

Sorry, but I just saw this thread. I've got three 6105's and an MP40W on my 180. It's mostly SPS with a couple of tangs so I wanted lots of flow. I think you'll be very happy with the 6105's. My Vortech is quiet but the Tunzes are dead silent in the tank. If you get them and they don't have the 24V jumpers for the power supply get over to Reef Central and PM Roger Vitko of Tunze. You can find him in the Tunze sponsor forum there. Let him know what power supply part numbers you have and he'll send 24V jumpers free of charge. Also, if you didn't buy one, keep your eyes open for a 7095 controller. I picked one up for $90 and use it to drive the pumps sequentially to really agitate the water column.

I'm running the 6095's in my 145G tank and are controlled with my Apex controller. So far very happy with them but not quite enough flow for me. I'm probally going to invest in at least one additional PH and get the 6105. I haven't been able to get them working to get a good wave pattern but for a random flow they are working well. I currently have it setup so that during feeding the main sump pump is off but these are running with a 1 sec on 3 off pattern to help keep the food suspended.

So I am glad that I went with the 6105's. Sounds like they are great power heads and put out a lot of flow but not for bigger tanks.
