Hey all,
Thinking of a weekend trip to British Columbia from US. As far as I can tell all that's required for documentation still is drivers licence and birth certificate. I got this from US customs site. A passport is not yet required but good to have. Does anyone know anything different?
Thanks, Scott

You are correct, getting back in the US is where the slow is. Having a passport saves a LOT of time. In not too many months, will have to have a passport. Anyway, birth certificate is a fairly important document to be traveling around with.

Having a passport saves a LOT of time

sorry dood but it doesn't :p .

My aunts come to visit me almost every month and it always takes them forever to cross the border.
It usually takes about an hour to cross the border and if i was you, i'd definetly try to cross either in the morning or late night so you don't have to deal with traffic :) .
Now yes you just need a birth certificate and driver's licence.
One time when my in laws were smuggling me into the U.S. :)D) they only asked them for their passport.... and well they only asked me for my BCID (british colombia i d :p) and they let us in and another time when my husband smuggled me .... well i better stop there  :D .
back to the question.... yeah just show your driver's licence and your birth certificate unless you were born in Mexico or something like that  .
are you guys gonna go visit some fish stores or just for family fun time ?
