Can some tell me about the heating issue with vho, I have 2-400w halides and I know they get hot but would vho be cooler compared to halides?
Thanks
Joe

From what I've heard of T-5's, they are supposed to produce the least amount of heat out of the three. I've also seen people keep all types of corals under T-5's, but just keep in mind you will need quite a few tubes of T-5's to equal to 1 MH bulb which can become expensive when it's time to change bulbs :)

I've got 4 x 54w t-5's and the run pretty dang cool. my tank stays between 77 - 79 degrees all day. so it ony flexuates about 2 degrees while my lights are on..
