Hi,

I have a 6 X 39W sunpower T5 light unit. I have set the voltage at 9v. The ambient room temperature is 66F (19C). Is this the correct setting or should I drop it to 7.5v or even 6v?

Cheers

It is my understanding that the best votage to run the fans at is 4.5v - 7v for quieter running. With keeping the room temp that low, I would think you should be able to run them at 6v.
How many fans are you running?

Thanks.

I have carried out some tests with my Apogee quantum sensor. It appears that my unit runs most efficiently when the fans are set at 9V. I also measured the air temperature leaving my sunpower unit. It was around 110 F, which is optimum according to my research.

I would like to get one of these ATI Sunpower fixtures for my 90g, thanks for the info on the settings may be helpful in the future if I decide to go that route!
