I have been really busy lately. I was complaining about how much was on my plate. My friend asked me have you spent time with your kids and family? I replied yes, lots. He said "No, I mean quality time"? . I said well we go to Basketball and Soccer together all the time. He said I should take at least a hour of good quality time with Kids. Your kids will be older before you know it. They grow more independent each day. I thought about it. I do not know who or why this message was sent to me? My friend is really quiet. I admire him for his ways. It kinda spooked me. I believe in God. I just have not given him the attention at times needed. My kids are always looking at me during games wanting to make me happy. Thank you who ever sent this message. I need to repay the favor.

Ed, nice thread. I am fortunate enough to get to stay home with my daughter. Each day, she surprises me with something new....good and bad alike. I enjoy every moment with her (OK...sometimes, when she is throwing herself on the floor in a tantrum....it isn't so enjoyable ). Thanks for helping me to appreciate my momhood.

Day-to-day living often gets in the way of your life. It's so easy to say "I'll take the time for that later" and then something else comes up.

With three kids, a full-time + job and taking classes, I need all the reminders I can get.
