Thanks to my dog pissing on my bedsheets, I stayed up later than normal. I was watching tv waiting for stuff to dry when I hear water... My overflow got jammed with the sponge and overflowed my tank... I cleaned up the water that fell in front of the tank, but I have no room to manouver behind it. I only have like 5" behind the tank. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to suck up the water back there? Will 1-2 gallons cause permanent damage? Help.

Someone the other day had a link to a water/flood alarm. I definately want to get one or two of these to put behind my tank and in the stand. Does anyone have the link? I am also now going to buy the ultralife float switch so I dont empty more than 3-4 gallons per accident... Any other suggestions?

Hey John,

I think a shop vac is a reefin necessity. You should be able to get a small attachement to squeeze behind the tank. After that put the box fan to work. If it's a bigger spill that gets the underlayment soaked then that's a different story.
