No fish were hooked or harmed but i did go fishing for grouper.
As many of you know my grouper has been trying to watch his figure and has been eating all of the seaweed that i leave in my vegiclip for my tangs. So I decided to feed him before i put in the seaweed instead of the other way around. Well i tossed in a large silverside and the trigger ate a quarter of it and the grouper snatched up the rest. I figured he was full so i proceeded to add the seaweed. It couldn't have been in the tank for a 5 seconds and the grouper made a run for it. So i pulled it out quickly. Then i thought "maybe if i hold on to it i can catch him?". So of coarse i held on to it and he went for it and i actually pulled him out of the water and he would not let go! Finally the seaweed ripped and the pig took it into his hole and ate it. Well of coarse this was not going to be the end. I figured that if he is that determined to not let go of his food then i'm gonna try fishing for him. So i took some string and tied it around a siverside and dropped it in. My blue tang and trigger attacked it almost instantly and began to shred it. The whole time the grouper was no where to be seen so i began to look for him and after a while i notice the string is being pulled into his cave. I slowly begin to bring in the line and i feel the tension building up in the line. I keep pulling and the grouper is now starting to pull back and trying to bring the fish back in his cave. so i pull a little harder and i brought him right up to the surface and he just wouldn't let go. He began to shake his head and the fish must have been sawed in half because the line came out of his mouth and he swam to the bottom and back into his little cave. I looked at him and his mouth was full of fish and he just started to slowly chew it up. I really like this grouper. I can't wait til he gets bigger!
Sorry for the long story but i had to tell you guys.
