in a wet/dry system are the bioballs supposed to be submerged or above the water

Bio balls work the best when they are not submerged. You are looking for a dark, moist, high oxygen place with alot of surface area for your bacteria to process the ammonia and nitrite. Hope this helps you in the design of your wet/dry. Mike

the water should drip through the bio balls from the top before they hit the water.
