What are these?

There are all over the tank. They are some sort of worm.
Description of them
they are small. They have a tube on them for the bottom and they come out of the tube. The thing that comes out looks like a tenticle that can reach a good distance and feels around for stuff. they tenticle looking thing is almost clear to a very light white.
i can try to get a pic for you but i have been told what they are before and i just forget.
i also want to know if they are a nausence or if they are fine. They are all over the tank so i want to know if i need to work on getting rid of them or not.
any thing can help and sorry there is no pic cause that would make this 1000 times easier for everyone.

Sounds like a feather duster or tube worm. Does those names ring a bell???

its not a feather duster. there are thoes in the tank too but i know thoes.
maybe a tube worm. are they harmfull to the tank at all? Cause there are alot of them all over the rocks.
