i have a 90 gal tank with a 30 gal fuge. currently i am running (2) 250w 20k XM bulbs. i have two different ballasts. one is a blue line and one is a mh ballast assembly from champion http://www.championlighting.com/product.php?productid=18569&cat=561&page=1

my question is should i replace with the same bulbs or should i change to something better? what would be better and why?

i have a mixed reef -- some sps ,, lps,, fish,, zoas ,, etc

thanks

Well, if you are happy with what you got, I say stick with it. I changed to Ushio bulbs and they didn't work on my PFO ballast (although I was told they are supposed to). I love my 400 watt 14,000K Hamilton bulb, but I had 175w 10,000K hamiltons and they won't work on my ballast either (go figure). I also really like my one and only 10,000K SPS bulb (south pacific sun, or something along those lines). It is really blue for 10k, but I noticed the polyps would not open with it (I was told it was a matter of them getting used to it though).
