what can i do with 40 watts

i can mostly find 40 watt lights that are within my price range and have good features. I wanted to know if i can make a nice aquarium with soft corals with it. I have a ten gallon trying to make it a nano cube. Also does live rock and live sand need a higher wattage light or not.

40 wts on a 10 is decent for a 10g. shrooms will be fine. leathers and zo's should fare well. live rock and sand dont care about light.
