What do sponges eat?

Sponges are pretty darn good.
(They look cool, they're not invasive, and don't usually posess any threats to anything--unless they're really big and then die, then they can become noxious post-mortem...)

Many sponges are filter-feeders so you don't usually I have to do much for them.
(If you've got some special ones--then you might want to buy some special food--I used to feed my blue sponges Kent's Micro-vert, but don't anymore....)
But if they're already growing well--then don't waste any money on special food (if they're growing well now, then they're already finding what they need in the tank, right? ;) )
