I started a 55 gal tank intending for the tank to be a fish only. But i have decided i want too start a reef but dont really know what is required to do so, and is there any way of doing it without tearing it down and starting over. Thank you.

Is the tank currently up and running? If so, what type of equipment is on it, and what are the current inhabitants? Is there Liverock and/or substrate? Has the tank ever been treated with copper?
The first thing I like to start with is deciding what types of corals I want to keep. This will be important for lighting set-ups and flow. Do you have any thoughts about corals yet?
