what happened to spell check?

there's the ABC thingy right on your right side which is the spelling check , now if we could only have a translator that would make everything easy

If you have the enhanced or fully WYSIWYG editor enabled there is a spell check check mark there. Click on it and it will take you to a program you can download and have spell check capability. That program integrates nicely with this forum.

Download the spell checker from http://www.iespell.com/

That will integrate well.

oh so it's only for IE - no wonder it's not working for me. i'm using FireFox on the Mac.

I also don't see the icon on FireFox for the PC so it must be only for IE as far as I can tell.

I will check firefox tonight when I get home to see what it looks like on my machine. I will also look to see if it is worth putting the old spell check back in but it may conflict with the operation of the built in button ... that would take some more digging.

oh it's no biggie to me....luckily I'm somewhat of a decent speller.

I just wanted to let you know that it looks like it's an IE only feature. I tried it on Safari and FireFox on the Mac as well as FireFox on the PC. I can only see the spellcheck button on IE for Windows.

Just thought I would pass that on in case other users are wondering where the Spellcheck button was.

Nikki - can you see it on your Mac?

matt - I don't see it on mine, however, I never really used it anyway. I count on my dictonary widget ....if I spell it wrong, it won't show up lolol. I just did a quick search, and there is a Spelling Widget, that you might try and use instead on the mac.

For you firefox users, you can download aspell from

http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/w32/Aspell-0-50-3-3-Setup.exe

I know it works for windows at least, just tried it. There won't be a button on the edit box but you access it from the edit file menu after you install it.
