As for your question, if I had never seen this thread before and you edited something in your first post, the following posts may or may not make sense to me.

Secondly, if I HAD seen this thread before and you had a piece of information, or a link, or a picture that I liked, and I decided to come back to it to look again, or save the picture, whatever, and you had edited it out, well that would be a bummer for me wouldn't it?

I think one of the problems was people changing the description etc in the for sale section to cover their butts.
