I got a great deal (I think) on this from the LFS. What is it? The guy I bought it from did not know. And is it worth fragging? if yes, how would I go about fragging it?

thanks so much!

100% turbinara.

i have several of them...

they frag easily by hammer lol. J/K actually just use some pliers or something to snap a piece off, even your fingers will work in some cases...

thanks for the input, I would have not thought to use a dremel on a coral, but I will try it out. I hope to keep the cup portion intact and growing, it is my favourite part. The polyps are out now. I have him in my new shallow clam tank under 250 watts of MH.

Sure is growing in a strange form. You could also score it with a razor knife to get a cleaner break and get it to break it where you want. Or a dremel with cutting wheel.

One thing to remember when using a dremel or any other similar tool to cut coral you MUST wear saftey glasses preferably goggles, most corals are poisones and can be a very very bad thing in your eyes!

Good luck...
