What is this growing on our rock?

Need help identifying what this is. My son Mitch picked up a new live rock at the big sale last weekend and we were surprised to see some sort of little polyp stuff growing on it after we placed it in the tank.

I've got the same stuff in my nano i was told it is purple star pollops

I have a bit of both Green Star Polyp and Purple Star Polyp in my tank. They grow like weeds so make sure you isolate them only to places where you want them to grow.
