I found this in my tank awhile ago but it was just a little speck but obviously it is getting bigger. Does anyone know what it is???? Is it good or bad????

the back part of a hitchhiker tunicate? is there an opening/hole anywhere?

soft - sponge
hard - porite

I can't really tell if it is hard or soft it feels like it has millions of short little hairs all over it....
