I got a 29g full of live rock and dead coral off of CL. there were several empty plugs in the tank, but one looked like it had some life. I have had the tank for a few weeks, I took some pictures of whatever it is about once/ week hoping someone will be able to tell me what it is and how to care for it! (this is my first salt tank)
The pictures are from oldest to newest.

That is a palythoa of some kind. Depending on your lighting, it may get some color back in it. Could turn out to be a great coral. Still definately a keeper.

For a paly that's fine. They are soft corals and don't need much light or care for that matter. I had a patch of them survive cycling the tank :) Its a perfect starter coral. And some of them have amazing color. Blue, green, red, orange, pink, yellow you name it.

This is the mother colony of TECO Forbiden Fruit (I only have a frag of it)
