What kinds of conductive metals are safe for our tanks?

I'm kicking around building a salinity sensor utilizing the relative conductivity of salt water... Does anyone have ideas on what types of metals I could use a conductors? We were kicking around the idea of using gold or magnesium, just have no idea how they would leach into the system....

Titanium is used for grounding probes, if that helps.

Titanium but thats it. No copper, Magnesium, Steel, Stainless (doesn't conduct), aluminum, or any other corroding metals.
