I have just come across some money for Christmas and I am trying to decide if I should get some more corals or if I should get a new peice of equipment.
My tank is sps with a couple of clams. I already have excellent light and flow, a nice dual chamber calcium reactor, great skimmer( oversized for my tank). I was thinking about a kalkreactor or a controller or something like that. Any suggestions will be helpful.

if you already have all the equipment that you need, i would go with corals...maybe you could buy a tank and start a frag tank!!!!

Do you have a controller? I would sooner get a controller then a Kalk reactor. Being your so well supplied the equipment part, The only thing left is more automation. Or corals.

I would recomend a controller. Despite my problem(a few threads up.. or down i guess now) I still think it was one of the best investments Ive made yet. Some of them will even let you monitor and control your tank from the internet(and probably your cell phone if your techinically inclined). If I was a traveler I dont think I would be able to leave my tank without one.

A Ranco dual-stage or Medusa Temp Controller.

Far too many times, this piece of equipment can prevent tank crashes.

Best,
Ilham

I agree with Elmo the ranco is a life save. The ca monitor, well those were sort of a flop IMO. Anything you can do / buy to increase stability and lessen the chance of a failure is always a good investment.
