what would happen if you left zoos in freshwater?

I was wondering what would happen if you left zoos in freshwater non treated not RO water just plain tap for a minute?

One minute would be called a freshwater dip and would be fine, outside of having some pissed off zoanthids.

get off some of the things that eat them, some snails, spiders and such, inverts seem to let go quick when dipped in fw, check out zoaid.com for a bunch of info on zoanthids and their pests

Anytime you do a freshwater dip, you should make sure your temperature and pH match that of the tank. The less stress the better.

i agree with Nikki ... make sure temp and ph are good and if you're gonna do it for a minute you should shake them good

I would be concered about the chlormines found in the tap water. If your going to use just tap maybe try using a dechlor type product.
