Hey, I just want to know what the best wattage per gallon is for raising corals and a good light to give it to me. im making a ten gal nano-reef; any suggestions?

Watts per gallon is absolute nonsense.

Plan your lighting based on the Depth and length of the tank and the specific requirments of the corals you intend to keep. There is no such thing as the correct light for raising coral, heck what if they are aposymbiotic? Just let us all know what you are interested in keeping and then we can have an educated discussion of what would be best. IMO in a Ten gal system you are sort of pushed toward PC lighting.

Is this a normal 10 gallon tank? If so there are a number of choices based on what you want to keep and how much you want to spend. If ricordia is all you plan to keep than PCs from www.marineandreef.com are a great choice. You will even be able to keep other softies with them later. If you are going to keep stonies later, at that point you will probably need to upgrade to MHs.

I currently have 2 SPS under the quad 96. I have a stag and a stylo. Both are doing awesome. They actually look better than when they were at the LFS. I just have them situated high in the tank right under the light. Also, both are CB. I keep my calcium high, my water flow medium/high, and do water changes weekly. The tank is great.
