Does it matter what pump/powerhead you use to mix your saltwater? What I mean is the flow/rate. I know it has to be a certain flow rate in order to make sure it's completely mixed. But what should that be?

You really don't need any particular flow rate when mixing your salt. You really don't need any flow unless your going to hold it for a while, just stir.

I make extra for later water changes so I use two little hydor 500 gph power heads. One blowing across the bottom and one pointed at the surface. I am using a old 55 gallon tank as a mixing station. Works very well :)

I use as big a powerhead as I can afford to keep around just for salt mixing.
I current use mag 9.5's in 44 gallon brute containers.
