Where did you learn plumbing designs for tanks?

I have a dream design that I want to map out in solidworks, but I don't know anything about designs as of yet. Plumbing seems to be tricky to me and I'd love to learn about it, but I don't know where to start. I'm also curious about the stress levels of acrylic glass. Both these things seem to be in short supply as far as information goes.

There are a couple stickies right at the top (Nicki's and Mojoreef) to explain their plumbing designs.

It all depends what types of animals you want to keep though.. SPS, LPS, softies, fish only, etc. Good luck figuring out a good design. It took me weeks to figure out what I was going to do with mine.
