Where to Get Pickling Lime?

Okay so I have checked out fred meyer and safeway. Where in Seattle can I get pickling Lime for dosing?

I've got a few jars I could sell you for $5 apiece (16oz Mrs Wages). I had to order it.

Use builders lime its the same thing at $10 for 20 KG.

There lies the problem. We can't seem to find any such thing as pickling lime here in the Puget Sound area let alone builders lime.

I might as well break down and order some myself then.

Ya know I just had a thought... Wouldn't it be nice for a LFS to start carrying picking lime? I knew one in nor. Cal that did and it was nice to have around. It gets me in their store and I usually leave with more than just pickling lime.

I'm in Spokane where the LFS does carry pickle lime and the mark up is not bad either. Good stuff, it has made my tank maintenance time go down, ph go up (couldn't get it above 8.0 before the lime now at 8.4). Balanced the cal and alk.

Is pickling lime in a powder form? I have never used it before.

Walmart carries it. It is by the pickling jars and it is powder
