I am about to purchase 2 koralia 3's and I am wondering where the best place to put these are... the tank is a five foot 125 and has a center overflow with the overflow teeth on the right side of the box. I have two outputs coming up from the return facing opposite ways in the middle of the tank. I was thinking of placing them on the sides one in the lower half of each side of the tank facing at an upward angle. One of them will be on the lower back of the tank and the other will be towards the front. Does that sound efficient?

Hey'

I have 2 K-3's in my 75g, one placed right-top-back pointed about 15* down back wall behind LR, one placed left-top-center aimed dead center of front pane. My return is a 3/4" loc-line Y'd at back-top-center and aimed slightly down at the front corners. This took days to micro-adjust and now have great flow w/ no dead spots. I tried puting one K-3 at bottom and 2 problems occured, blew sand all over and ugly power cord also had to run extension cord. The one in back right blows everything out from behind/underneath aquascape.

Just my 4 cents worth, Todd

Ya i have had K4s in my 75 and having one of them pointed towards the back is a good idea to keep the back of the tank somewhat clean by not letting things settle if at all possible. But in a 125 i would suggest more than 2 poss 3-4 or add one more k4. But once you play with it youll figure out what works best.
Having them pointed straight ahead from the back wall to the front pane will create a flow in quite a few direstions as long as the rock isnt to close together.
My 6cents worth

i guess another good question would be what are you keeping in the tank for corals sps lps softies? depending on corals will depend on where you want most of the flow. i placed my low flow corals low in the tank behind rocks and what not and blasted the top of my tank with flow I still got good flow low in the tank. and like stated above flow all over the tank is needed but some spots can use less then others. and playing with them and adjusting to the corals liking. will always be a battle as they grow out. 2 k3 in a 5 foot is a small amount of flow. i would add a k4 to the mix or 2 more k3's.

It is a fwlr tank well and an rbta and as of now the only flow is the mag twelve
