Which algae?

I'd like to grow some type of algae in my tank, problem is, I have a sailfin tang and a foxface and they will devour any algae that i put in , they even ate the 'maidens hair algae' that i put in, which is suppose to be toxic so the fish don't like the taste, not so the case with my fish The only thing that I know they don't touch is halimeda. Is this the only type of algae I can keep :?:
