Hey guys,

I was thinking about trying to add some vitamins to my fishes food. Can you guys suggest anything? What do you use and what do you do?

Right now i only use Garlic and it smells really bad so i would like to try something else.

Thanks,

Nick

I use 3 Vitamins A 1000 IU + Vit D 400 IU softgel poked and dripped in
2 teaspoon Calcium Ascorbate (Vit C) crystal form
4 Vit B12 sublingual dots (1 dot = 500 mcg) dissolved in ro/di H2O
3 capsules Beta Glucan (immune system) 200 mg powder dissolved
6 softgel Garlic oil poked and dripped in
10 drops Logul solution for IODINE
Sprilinia freshwater algae flake, kelp powder
frozen and uncooked [Krill, Shrimp, squid, octopus, pollack fish, smelt
clams, oysters, mussels, Salmon roe ] ==> all micro planed
to make a oatmeal paste constacy of about 2 - 2 1/2 cups
The paste ( 1 heap soup spoon) is then spread on
a sheet of Nori red/green and then rolled up
Placed on a cookie sheet. Frozen then cut into 3 - 2 1/2" pieces

Wow thats a little too extreme for what i was looking to do. I was just looking for something to soak Nori in or something like that. Hats off to you though your fish and tank must be healthy and beautiful.

I add garlic guard, marine zoe, and selcon to frozen krill, brineshrimp and blood worms before I feed.

The garlic smells, but the fish love it!

i have used zoe, selcon and vitachem. i like them ,but they leave a film on top of the water. a freind of mine is a marine biologist and owens a spactacular fish shop(absolutely fish- patricnk donstan-clifton,n.j) .the best fish shop in the world. he has recomended this to me. good luck . jakleen

Most are pretty much the same. Each has a brand preference but as long as you use a vitamin and a HUFA additive, you're all good. For those using garlic, it's an "OK" antioxidant, but really not much more.
