Woohooo!!!!!!!

Just needed to celebrate a little bit. Born and raised a White Sox fan. My daughter, on the day she was born, was already starting to learn about the White Sox. My whole life, my dad was a true fan. I loved going rounds with the Cubs fans during school.....especially on Cross Town Classic days :D. Well, dad went to the first game of the World Series, and now they've won. YEAH!!!!!

Thanks Charlie for inspiring this thread *cough Cubs Fan cough* :D

Congrats Nikki:)

Post Mortum........Seattle get used to your hometown athletes taking all your moneies and leaving to win World Championships elsewhere.

Biggest thing for that area since Michael Jordan. Congrats.

No kidding. Now we just need a comeback for da Bears. Mike Ditka will always be the best Bears coach ever, in my eyes. And who can forget the SuperBowl Shuffle :D. SuperBowl XX was the best!

Maybe the Blackhawks will be next   (its been what....since the 60s?)

I grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and of course the south has always been Sox fans while the north has been Cubs fans. So it is nice to see the Sox wind up on top for once. It has certainly been MANY years, something like 88 I believe :)

well i don't know anythign about baseball but all i can say is that i'm really happy for you Nikki, now you just gotta go celebrate their victory :D .

Go Nikki!!! I'm not a baseball fan really however I do go for any team from Chicago for some reason...Bears (shhhh) Cubs, Bulls... White Sox could work!

ROFL, Krish! You can't be both a Cubs fan and a Sox fan! :D.....at least if you're from Chicago anyway. BTW - I am a fan of Wrigley Field....it makes you feel like you are at a real baseball field. Just wish I could watch the Sox in a park like that .

Congrats Chicago. Seattle would have won if not for the players, coaches and home town, lol. For years and years we've had a saying here in Seattle though... "There's always next year!" In fact I remember Gabby saying it about the Suckhawks. Someday we'll win though; and prove once and for all that the 1978-1979 NBA season wasn't a fluke for Seattle sports. Perhaps it will fall on the same year pigs learn to fly.

happy for ya Nikki...nice to see a smaller market team win the series for a change....:D it's good for baseball to see somebody besides the Yankees win it....

Suckhawks? now why do you have to be that hard ehh dood ...sometimes it's not the coaches or the team sometimes is the referis and their mistakes dood.

The Seattle Metropolitans won the Lord Stanley's Cup back in 1916-1917.

If we would just trade the Hawks, (not-so-super) Sonics, and Mariners for an NHL team we might have a chance. The existing teams have a nack for loosing. When the most recent team to bring home a championship is the WNBA team and you have 4 proffessional teams in the area, you need to rethink your strategy.
