white spot on live rock

I havent been home in a few days and when i got back i noticed 1.5 inch round pach of what looks to be coriline algee on a i live rock towards bottom of tank but its pure white whene it used to be purple.. srange looking I have hade rock in and out of tank recently to drill and peg with plastic rods to aquascape recently could this have somthing to do with it or should i be more concerned i will post pic later this afternoon as i i am not home rite now either any idieas in the meantime
 
Coralline does come in white, but the fact that you relocated some rocks, it is possible that the intensity of the light shifted on this particular spot causing the color to shift or even bleach out a bit. Atleast this is the first thought that came to mind. :)
 
Yea, my coraline is white where the light isn't bright enough. For instance, it is purple in my main tank, but white in the fuge, where the light is much weaker. I wouldn't worry about it. Move it closer to the light if you want it to color up?
