My lepto got too close to my montipora. I didn't think it would be a problem until we noticed the bleaching. I separated them and the bleaching has stopped. is that white part dead? Will it recover?

Side question: As you can see, it is starting to outgrow its rock. Any suggestions on how I can increase the space on that rock. I liked that the rock is it currently on is flat so I was hoping there was a way to extend the flat surface of the rock.
