I have a pair of yellow watchmans that hang with a pistol shrimp
all was well (in fact I think one is pregnant) untill I added a leapard wrasse.
The leopard is peacfull but I haven't see either fish in a week and a half..
I seen the shrimp yesterday digging under there rock they love but no fish?!?
Either of them?
So the question is would the leopard cause them to freak out?
Do they disappear for weeks when laying eggs??
All other fish are good and healthy and no other changes to the tank.!

I'm not familiar with the mating of this species, however I do believe the wrasse would be intimidating to the Gobies to some extent. Much has to do with the personalities of each and the amount of space and resources available in the tank.

I had this trio and they would be out all day everyday watching fish swim by and staring at us while we watch them..
As soon as I added, the leopard, they disappeared completely..

i had a pair of yasa hashe, that when the female was full of eggs would disappear for 7-10days (i assume it was female...she would get really rotund)...the male would sometimes also disappear for awhile. i have found it is not uncommon for watchman gobies to "disappear" for a week or more and then reappear to no ill effect. every fish is different but my leopard never hassled my gobies. give them time and i would be willing to bet that they will re-emerge.

I'm hopeing the leopard was just bad timming with the female laying eggs, SHE WAS FAT...
I'lll just wait and see.
Thanks everyone.

Well they disapeared again?! :(
I know what the problem is now..
My yellow watchmen goby's are chicken when it comes to a leopard wrasse.
When they came out today the leopard was hiding due to me scaring it when messing around in the tank.
Not sure what I'm gonna do now?!?
Prolly catch the leopard and put it in the 29?!?
I don't know now
